Super Robot Wars Y Guide: Participating Series and Units at a Glance

Units and Map Icons by Series

The list starts with Banpresto Original (Y Original · OG) and groups participating series by franchise. As mentioned above, Assist Crew are not included as unit cards. Clicking a unit name or image takes you to this site's unit article, and clicking a pilot name takes you to the pilot article (where one exists).

To find your favorite series in Super Robot Wars Y, start by separating the base-game series from the additional content. The list below is not just a table of obtainable allies. It is organized by series, grouping enemies, bosses, ships, monsters, and transformed and combined forms so you can check each unit's appearance and name together.

Combat and Series Scope in Y

Y is a simulation RPG in which you field units and characters from different robot series as a single force. Besides combat units, there is also an Assist Link system that uses support characters. So the fact that a series participates is not the same as saying every character from that series can be controlled as a combat unit. The unit tables below do not list Assist Crew as separate units. Official base game overview

The official base-game list has 21 series. The Gundam titles are split into Zeta Gundam, Char's Counterattack, M-MSV, and others, and Macross Delta and its movie, as well as the two Code Geass movies, are each counted as separate participating series. The Witch from Mercury is presented as Season 1 in the base-game description, but units from later additional content can also be found under the same series.

In the unit data, Mazinkaiser, Mazinemperor G, and others are assigned to Dynamic Planning Original, so they are grouped separately in the list below as well. The number of series at the top of the list is higher than the official count of participating series (21) because movies, seasons, Dynamic Planning Original, and Super Robot Wars Original are each grouped as one series.

How to Tell the Base Game from Additional Content

• Base-game series: The 21 series on the official base-game list. Units added later to existing series are marked with an additional-content badge (DLC 01, etc.) on their cards.
• DLC①: Adds GALAXY CYCLONE BRAIGER, THE BIG O, and FUUTO PI: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull. Official DLC① description
• DLC②: Adds Kotetsu Jeeg, Dynamic Planning Original (Getter Robot - The Jet-Black Drifters), and The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn. Official DLC② description
• Expansion Pack: Adds Space Runaway Ideon, Char's Counterattack: Beltorchika's Children, IDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA, STAR DRIVER THE MOVIE, Cross Ange, and EUREKA: EUREKA SEVEN HI-EVOLUTION. If you are looking for the Hi-ν Gundam or Villkiss, check this scope. Official Expansion Pack description
• Anniversary Expansion Pack: A product that adds later units from The Witch from Mercury such as the Gundam Calibarn, 白夜月虹影獣, and Li-Brasta T. Lists under existing participating series are also expanded. Official Anniversary Expansion Pack description

A unit existing in the base-game data does not mean it joins permanently through the base game alone. Bonuses, trial missions, and additional products may be mixed in, so check the purchase scope in the official description for each product above.
